World Natural Heritage World Geopark The First National Forest Park of China
Zhangjiajie Xiangxi Mansion is a cultural and tourism complex located in the core area of Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot Scenic Area.It covers an area of more than 30 mu, with a total construction area of nearly 20000 square meters. To the east is the rippling Suoxi River, and to the north is the biaozhimen of Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot across the water.Its unique geographical location has enabled it to achieve a perfect coexistence of natural and cultural landscapes.
Entering the scenic spot, the ancient buildings with upturned eaves and carved beams and painted rafters are well arranged, which not only retain the elegant charm of traditional folk houses in Western Hunan, but also integrate the modern aesthetic spatial layout.Tourists can not only stop and appreciate the exquisite craftsmanship of ancient buildings, but also deeply appreciate the profound cultural context of Xiangxi in the courtyard, and obtain an immersive aesthetic experience.
It consists of multiple Ming and Qing Dynasty antique buildings, mainly divided into the following parts, each with its own characteristics:
世忠堂-Shizhong Hall: It is the largest building in the scenic area, vividly depicting the history of Peng Yinan, a famous anti Japanese general in the Ming Dynasty, leading local warriors to defend their country.
濯缨轩-Zhuoying Pavilion: An elegant building made entirely of fragrant camphor wood, allowing you to experience the private school scene of the Ming and Qing dynasties and feel the Peng family's tradition of "farming and studying".
雅居-Yaju: With the theme of "Tusi Wedding Culture", it immerses itself in showcasing Tujia wedding customs.
宝仁阁-Baoren Pavilion: Explore the legend of the "Blood Jade of War God Chiyou", decipher the formation mystery of the cinnabar king, and showcase the geological changes of the Wuling Mountains in Western Hunan.
思恩斋-Si'enzhai: With the theme of "Tusi's Filial Piety to Mother", telling stories of filial piety.
永福塔-Yongfu Tower: a five story tower style wooden tower that embodies the beautiful meanings of "fortune, prosperity, longevity, happiness, and celebration". It is also a landmark building of the scenic area.
