November 29, 2011, Zhangjiajie Sangzhi County will host the second China Sangzhi Folk Song Festival, is under active preparation.
In 2006, Sangzhi Folk Song formally included in the first national folk intangible cultural heritage. November 19, 2008, Sangzhi County Government successfully hosted the first China Sangzhi Folk Song Festival.
