For convenience of the tourists, Zhangjiajie's Tianmen Mountain scenic site has launched a "Smart Tour Guide" system which delivers information on the travel strategies, site maps, service directory, safety instructions, as well as historic and cultural context through QR (quick response) code scanning.
When scanned with a QR Code reader in mobile phones, the system responds by sending tourists the encoded information, which helps the tourists streamline their travel arrangements.
