World Natural Heritage World Geopark The First National Forest Park of China
Holiday, especially for the young, is a favorable chance to be free from work or trifles. As a green-hand in a company, I paid more attention to this 3-days holiday. Anyway, it was my first holiday since I was applied as a professional female. After considerate selection, I decided to spend my journey in Zhangjiajie, in which gorgeous sceneries are accessible to my eyes.
DAY 1: Yellow Dragon Cave and Local Snacks
With the help of my friend in Zhangjiajie, I had a preferential ticket. As it said, Yellow Dragon Cave is one of the core scenery spot in Zhangjiajie and it has been honored as magical karst cave both in China and in the world.
The first scenic spot was the beautiful and natural eco-square. Flowers and trees are decorated with colors of Spring. Once stepped into the cave, my eyes were attracted by the amazing and nature-created masterpieces .The beautiful stalactites and ornamental lights make Yellow Dragon Cave a fairy land.
After about two-hours’sightseeing in Yellow Dragon Cave, I retuned to my hotel with great joy. When the dusk came closer, my friend treated me a delicious dinner in downtown. Though it rained outside that night, we were hardly bothered by it. Moreover, we had various local snacks in a street, which next to Zhangjiajie Aeronautic Vocational & Technical College. Stink Toufu, dried tomatoes, fried pies and noodles, steamed pork with preserved vegetables pies ,etc, they were full of local color and special flavors.
DAY 2: Tianmen Mount and Fairy Fox
I have heard the fame of Tienmen Mount long before my journey here.Just as the old saying goes, seeing is believing.I was deeply touched by its magnificence.The uncountable stairs at the first spot seemed like a winding dragon welcomes me.
What impressed me most was the feeling on a cable car. Standing in the cable car and looking down all the buildings below were as small as boxes. The mountains around were so close that I could take an intimate look at them. What is more, the air was fresher to breathe and unconsciously my mind and head kept relaxed and empty.
My second night in Zhangjiajie spent on a well-known stage drama–Fairy Fox.Millions of actors performing at one time, you can imagine how charming and eye-catching the scene is. Love is the major plot in this musical drama. Many thrilling stunts and music as well as dances make Fairy Fox more unforgettable. Seats on that night were sold out and seas of audience clapped continuously.
DAY 3: Shopping for Local Foods
Every time when I have the chance to visit a place, I usually inclined to buy some local food as souvenirs. On my third day in Zhangjiajie, it happened to be sunny. Zhangjiajie downtown was not as crowded as I expected. Passengers on the road wore warm smiles and the transportation was fair convenient. During the whole morning, I enjoyed the shopping experience. The prices of various local foods were at a reasonable price levels.
I bought two bags of Xiangxi Bandit Duck, which is said to be as delicious as Beijing Toast Duck. Also,I shopped pueraria lobata powder.According to the introduction, this kind of food possesses health value, particularly for the old. Besides, my travel bag was full of other local foods. Such as fried rice, dried meats and soured carrot chips.
An expected journey is for a clean mind and satisfying experience.My three days in Zhangjiajie came to a perfect ending and if time permitted I hope a second trip with my family can come into being in near future.
