Zhangjiajie Airport to Add More Flights for Summer Travel Rush

News 2025/06/27 View:415

Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport is optimizing air route resources and enhancing its service quality in a comprehensive manner, to brace for the upcoming summer vacation travel rush. During the summer vacation, the airport will operate additional flights and will increase the frequency of flights on several popular routes, offering passengers a convenient and comfortable travel experience.

The airport has launched new services to and from five destinations—Changchun, Harbin, Hohhot, Xiamen, and Yueyang. It has also increased the frequency of flights to and from Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Nanjing, Ningbo, and Incheon, South Korea. These measures will further expand the airport's service network, establishing Zhangjiajie as an aviation hub with wider coverage and enhanced connectivity.

Specifically, during this summer vacation, each day, the airport will operate four flights to Shanghai; three flights to Beijing, Xi'an, and Nanjing; two flights to Chengdu, Shenyang, and Incheon, South Korea. There will be one flight from Zhangjiajie to several other popular destinations every day, including Cheongju, Daegu, and Busan of South Korea; as well as Guangzhou, Ningbo, Dalian, Lanzhou, Xuzhou, Guiyang, and Wuhan. Additionally, scheduled flights will operate to Hanoi, Vietnam; Jakarta, Indonesia; and Hong Kong, Huai'an, Fuzhou, Kunming, Wuxi, Yangzhou, and Tianjin. The dense flight operations are expected to meet the summer travel boom.

The International Service Center for Foreigners at Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport has been in operation since this January. During this summer vacation, the airport will further leverage its functional advantages to provide foreign travelers with high-quality one-stop services covering payment, communication, transportation, cultural tourism, and immigration. Additional transfer counters will be set to optimize "through flight" services. A "frequent flyer" membership program will be launched to enhance member passengers' travel experience, and to attract more travelers to tour Zhangjiajie or take transfers at the airport. More staff will be arranged for guidance service during peak periods to ensure efficient check-in and security screening processes, reducing passengers' travel time.
