An activity was launched on May 30, 2014 in Zhangjiajie to collect the most beautiful guidewords for charming Xiangxi from all the tour guides in the country, with big prizes of nearly one million yuan. Zhou Fang, vice chairman of the CPPCC Zhangjiajie Municipal Committee, attended the opening ceremony. The guidewords are required to showcase tourism performance of charming Xiangxi, a card of Zhangjiajie's cultural tourism, as well as relevant contents. The guidewords, ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 in word count, should also be fluent, thoughtful, practical, originative, and aesthetic in language. The deadline is November 28 this year. Organizers released the preparations, schedules and events for the 2013 Zhangjiajie International Country Music Week at a press briefing on August 15 in Beijing.The music week, to take place from August 31 to September 4 in China's world heritage site Zhangjiajie, is themed "World's natural heritage, our country music". Following the principle of frugality, grandness and profound effects, the festival is expected to be a far-reaching international event. The organizers will line up more than 300 musicians and are promising a mix of 8 domestic music groups and 25 country music bands from 23 countries and regions.
